Allen Nygren Nels Allen Nygren passed away at his home in Argenta on December 18, 2015. Allen was born January 17, 1963 to Nels Ernest and Diane (Nygard) Nygren in Dillon, Montana. Allen grew up in Argenta with his grandparents, dad and sister. Allen graduated from Beaverhead County High School in 1981. After high school he lived and worked in Alaska and enjoyed all of the hunting and fishing there. He always wanted to go back. He was an avid hunter, trapper and fisherman and loved to hike and camp at the high mountain lakes. As a young boy he trapped and mined with his dad and grandfather. Allen married Sheri Smith on October 11, 1986. Together they raised three sons; Gyle, Gary “Bear” and Jeremiah. For the past 20 years he owned and operated Nygren Lumber and custom cut lumber for his customers. Everyone loved the wood he cut because he always made sure it was the best. No one could beat his work ethic or his integrity. He made friends easily and everyone who knew him loved him. Allen is survived by his wife, Sheri, three sons, Gyle, Gary “Bear” and Jeremiah, sister Tracey (Dave) Roberts, Argenta, brother Mike (Chandra) Block, Las Vegas, sister, Cathy (Bob) Leaver, Deer Lodge, grandsons, Jackson and Walker Nygren and granddaughters, Bethany and Sarai Nygren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends. Allen was preceded in death by his grandparents, Rudolph “Rudy” and Lily (Duck) Nygren, father, Nels Nygren, and sister, Nancy Holmes. The family would like to invite everyone to a viewing on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Brundage Funeral Home and on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. to a pot lunch celebration of life luncheon in Allen’s honor at the Elks Lodge in Dillon.
