Anna Burkenpas

Anna Joy Burkenpas, 84, of Dillon, Montana, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at Providence Saint Patrick Hospital in Missoula, Montana. Anna was born February 28, 1939 to Glenn Rosborough and Mary Eloise McCleery in Anaconda, Montana. She graduated Anaconda High School in 1957. She met Darrell Burkenpas in 1952 and the couple were married on September 19, 1963 in Bozeman, Montana. Anna worked as a Pediatric Nurse, then as a clerk for the Forest Service and Soil Conservation Service in Bozeman, MT. While raising her two boys, she opened her own yarn and needlework shop in Bozeman. After retiring she and Darrell moved to Dillon, MT. In her free time, she enjoyed knitting, gardening, baking & spending time with her family and her pets.

Anna is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Edgar, and granddaughter Nicole. She is survived by her husband Darrell, sons Don (Amy), Brian (Shannon), sister Sharon (Dave), many nephews & nieces.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Beaverhead Animal shelter.
