Betty Hanson

Betty Spehar Hanson Betty was born 27 July 1933 in Sheridan, Montana to Julius and Evelyn (Hansen) Galiger. She attended schools at Robbers Roost and Sheridan before moving to Dillon with her parents and graduating from Beaverhead County High School. She worked weekends and summers for Ray Nelson in the restaurant business. In 1952 she married Charles Spehar and went to work for the J.W. Walters Garage as a bookkeeper. In 1964 she went to work in the registrar’s office at Western Montana College where she worked until her retirement in 1997. Betty was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband Charlie. She is survived by her husband David, brothers; Bill (Bev) Galiger, Bob (Shelly) Galiger and numerous nieces and nephews.
