Betty (Harrison) Pierce

Betty Lee Harrison Pierce passed away peacefully May 28th 2015 at Parkview Acres Nursing Home.  Betty was born 05 November 1923 to Pauline and Homer Harrison.  She attended Dillon schools and graduated in 1941 from BCHS.  After high school she worked as a dental assistant for Dr. R.D. Curry and also worked at BCHS as a secretary. In 1945 she moved to Missoula to take a position as a cashier at the University.  Betty and Tom Pierce were married in Dillon in 1947.  They moved back to Horse Prairie to live on the ranch.  Tom and Betty had three sons.  After Tom's death Betty moved into Dillon and attended WMC.  She worked at the Womens Resource Center and later was the manager of Stamm Jewelers.  Betty retired in 1990. She was preceded in death by her parents, Brothers Harlan and Bob Harrison and husband Tom and son John Paul (Jackie) Pierce.  She is survived by Sons Thomas Richard (Jennifer Wigen) Pierce of Dillon, Cole Vincent of Albuquerque NM, grandson Vince (Cheryl) Pierce of Vernal UT,  granddaughter Paula (Ryan) Watson of Redmond OR.  Great-grand children:  Ryan, Kimberly, Mathew, Ruby and Sophia.  Betty had numerous nieces and nephews. Per Betty's request no services will be held at this time.  A family gathering will take place later this summer in memory of Betty.
