Billy Roy Dingley died Tuesday, August 2, 2016 near Wisdom at the age of 61. Billy was born on April 12, 1955 in Dillon, Montana to Monte and Lois (Bloor) Dingley. He grew up in Dillon and graduated from Beaverhead County High School Class of 1973. Billy enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, laughing, and mostly spending time with friends and family. Billy worked several jobs, including logging before going on to attend trade school to become a drilling fluid technologist. After graduating he worked in the oil industry until the industry slowed down, when he went back to logging for a brief time. He worked in construction in California for nearly a decade before going back to oil as a mud engineer where he worked on rigs across the US and the globe. As is the case with the oil industry, another downturn caused layoffs and Billy went back to driving truck. Most recently driving for Lakeland Feed and Supply. He is survived by his children: Jeremy Ries (Ryan Boucher) of Dallas, TX; Daniel (Brandi) Ries of Missoula, MT; Chelsea (Jon) Warcholik of Santee, CA; and Klint Dingley of Lakeside, CA; His grandchildren: Emma Ries, Maizee Ries, Lexi Warcholik, Addy Ries and Cole Warcholik; His siblings: 4 brothers and 5 sisters; and his fiancée Nancy Stewart of Dillon.
