Carolyn Gibson

February 10, 1942 — December 6, 2016

Carolyn’s Sparrow Song The lone sparrow sits high in her tree Pondering of what song to sing Patiently waiting for the day to be Stretching out her tired wings And as the sun starts to rise She begins with a simple song With chirps of lows and highs Following how the day will go Her song reminds us of better days Memories old but not to be forgotten To be remembered for her ways And the time that she has given And as the sun is in the sky It’s warmth begins to fall She will open her wings and fly To a place beyond us all Goodbye my little sparrow Fly high into the great open sky Though we may never see you again For us your song will never end. -Justin Wade Gibson Carolyn S.
