Clifford Beil

August 28, 1953 - May 28, 2024

Clifford Frederick Beil, passed away on May 28, 2024, in his beloved state of Montana. Born on August 28, 1953, in Greenville, Pennsylvania, Cliff was the youngest son of George and Martha (Vonnie) Beil.

Hard work, outdoors, great friends, and adventure defined his young life: Summers on his grandparent's farm, checking traps early in the morning before heading to the golf course, riding bikes to the local pool, and lighthearted mischief with his buddies. He graduated from Greenville High School in 1971 and after a brief stint at Thiel College, Cliff arrived at Montana State University where he would finish his formal education and live more of his adventures.

Cliff met the love of his life, Debra (Debbie), on a memorable night out in Missoula at Duelin' Daltons. Their first dance marked the beginning of a beautiful journey together. They were married and two years later they welcomed their son, Erik. Cliff's professional path included a myriad of roles, but his time with the Youth Challenge Program at Western Montana College was his most cherished. Work was important to Cliff, but he always made time for family. He loved watching and coaching Erik in sports as well as doting on his little Debbie.

In 2020, Cliff welcomed his first grandchild, Anderson George Beil. They quickly became pals, bonding over their morning internet searches for big red trucks. The spring of 2024 brought another blessing with the birth of his second grandchild, Eleanor Jayne Beil. Cliff held his "littlest girl" and was immediately taken with her.

In the fall of 2023, Cliff and Debra began a new chapter as snowbirds in Apache Junction, AZ, where they were welcomed by the wonderful community of Dolce Vita. Days were filled with enjoying shuffleboard, cards (too many card games), and new friendships.

Cliff was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Beil, his brother, George Beil Jr., and his aunt, Frances Wackenhut. He is survived by his loving wife, Debra Beil; his father, George Beil Sr.; his sister, Deborah Haines; his aunt, Jackie Snyder; his uncle Fred Callahan; his sister-in-law, Nancy Beil; his brother-in-law, Ray Haines; his son, Erik Beil; his daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Beil; his nephew, Gregory Haines; his beloved grandchildren, Anderson and Eleanor Beil; and countless close friends.

Cliff held stark values of what was right and wrong, leaving very little gray area. He was direct, steadfast, and always enjoyed making a great sale or finding a deal. He loved the outdoors, card games, friends, and his family. A perfect day would begin with fishing and end with a family BBQ dinner at home. Cliff, Huey, Dad, Grandpa... we will miss you.
