Connie Jane (Confer) Null passed away at Barrett Hospital & Healthcare on July 23, 2024. She was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Russell William Confer and Thelma (Sieler) Confer on July 18, 1949. She was the eldest of three siblings.
When Connie was two her dad was transferred to Gypsum, Colorado where she attended grade school. Her dad was transferred once again, this time to Grand Junction, Colorado where she went to Junior high and graduated from Central High School.
In high school she met the love of her life Joe Carl Null, but it wasn't until he returned from Vietnam that they started dating. She wrote him letters while he was there, and he says that was the only reason that he made it through that time. They married on November 18, 1972.
In 1975, Connie started work at King Soopers in Golden, Colorado. She worked there until she retired in 1988 and became a stay-at-home wife. She enjoyed playing games on her phone and computer until her sight would no longer permit it. She suffered from Macular degeneration and Epilepsy that kept her from doing a lot of things.
In 2018, Joe moved to Dillon to help care for his sister after retiring from 35 years at the Coors Company in Golden. Connie joined him in 2020.
She is survived by her husband Joe and a brother. She is preceded in death by both of her parents and a brother.
There will be no service; an Internment will take place at a later date when her husband Joe transfers her ashes to Grand Junction, Colorado to her final resting place at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
