Darlene Lee Hill was born on September 28, 1938 to Oliver L. and Nora Lucille Marsing in Salmon, Idaho and passed away at Renaissance Senior Care on June 16, 2023 in Dillon, Montana.
Darlene had many interests in Dillon and surrounding communities. She was active with the local square dancing club traveling to many nationwide events, sewed western wear for her family and taught others to dance. She was a member of the Eastern Star and functions they supported, Darlene loved to travel and camp with family and friends. Adventures extended across Montana, Alaska, California and several other areas.
She was an excellent cook, baker and canned from the garden. Darlene was known for her million dollar fudge with fond memories of family members sneaking a bite before it cooled. She was talented in sewing and provided her family with many clothes and camp gear throughout the years. Darlene enjoyed socializing with friends reminiscing and laughing about life experiences and stories.
Darlene is survived by her son and step children: James (Peggy) Hill, Colorado Springs, Colorado, Anna Jean (Junior) Pitts, Boston, Kentucky, Jo Ann Hill, Butte, Montana, Judy Hill House, Tunnel Hill, Georgia, Chester (Janice) Hill, Jr. of Dillon and Joyce (Allen) Henning, Bremerton, Washington plus many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, son David, granddaughter Randie and husband Chester Hill, Sr.

Her service will take place at 11:00 am on June 27, 2023 at Brundage Funeral Home with a celebration of Darlene immediately afterwards at Vibrant Lives – 212 E. Bannack St., Dillon, MT 59725
