Darrel Thomas

Darrel D. Thomas, 83 of Dillon (formerly of Modesto, CA) died at Parkview Nursing Home on October 19th, 2014.   He was born June 14, 1931 in Rosebud, S.D. the first and only son of three children (Lois & Frances) born to Paul & Betty (Baker) Thomas.   The family moved west while the children were young with Darrel's father working in the lumber industry in Oregon.   The family eventually settled in Modesto, CA. were Darrel completed his high school education and began working for Silgan Container company in Riverbank, CA. for over 30 years.   Darrel is survived by his wife Diana Thomas of Dillon; his daughter Debbie and son-in-law Dan Poncabare of Monterey, CA.; his son Rod and daughter-in-law Theresa Thomas; and one grandson Deric Thomas all of Dillon.  His sisters and their spouses:  Frances (Charles) Ciraolo of El Cajon, CA.; Lois (Devon) Marshall of Modesto CA.   We loved him dearly and he will be so very missed.   Cremation has taken place and private family committal will take place at a later date.   Condolences can be left at wwwbrundagefuneralhome.com
