Dorothy June Bracken, 87, went to be with her Lord on August 5, 2018. Born on June 22, 1931 in Billings, Montana to the late Ralph and Helen Bracken. She will be remembered for her service to others, her kindness, generosity, intelligence, stubbornness and devotion. Dorothy enjoyed reading, and various types of handy work throughout her life. She was an excellent cook and baker. She was very artistic and creative and could decorate a cake beautifully. She spent many years enjoying sewing for her nieces and nephews and leading Sunday school in Lockwood. She loved nature and enjoyed watching the deer, birds and wildlife that frequented her home in Billings. Dorothy spent most of her life in Billings where she enjoyed her family, friends, and church. When in Billings, Dorothy particularly enjoyed her Saturday trips to the farmers market, shopping and going to lunch with her good friend Sylvia Schriefer . She loved her time and long talks with Pastor Lane, her cousin Bob Bracken, and her friend and handy man Rolland Specht. The last few years of her life were spent in Dillon with her sister Clara. She made many new friends and enjoyed their company. She was a wonderful sister, aunt and friend to all those who knew her. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Ralph and Helen (Gelok) Bracken, Her younger brother Raymond Bracken, and her Brother-in-law Robert Gerringa. Surviving relatives include her sister Clara (Bracken) Gerringa, and Sister-in-law Roxanne Bracken, Nieces; Michelle (Gerringa) Devlin (Craig), Sabra (Bracken) Lawlor (Tom), Stephanie Gerringa (Gary), Nephews; Randy Gerringa (Helen), Terrill Bracken (Catherine), Great Nieces; Gabbi and Baylie Devlin, Karsyn Gerringa, Scarlett Bracken, Erin Nordquist and Elizabeth Naugle and Great Nephews; Michael and Dustin Lawlor, Carter Gerringa and Rayce Bracken.
