Douglas Woods

Douglas Leroy Woods, 59 July 31, 1954-May 6, 2014 Doug Woods passed away peacefully at his home on May 6, 2014.  He was born in Sheridan Mt, the only son of Ruth and Tony Woods of Silverstar Mt.  Doug grew up in Silverstar and attended school in Twin Bridges where he participated in most all sports.  He then attended Montana State University in Bozeman and Graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture.  At the time of his death he was employed by the State of Montana Department of Livestock, Meat Inspection Division.   He married Sheryl Hubbard on September 16, 2000, she survives as does his beautiful daughter Bailey Dayle Badgley and husband Nimon of Hickory, North Carolina, daughter Kacee Woods of Boise, Id and father Tony Woods of Silverstar.  He was preceded in death by his mother Ruth Woods of Silverstar.   Doug was a wonderful caring man who was kind and polite to all that he met.  He loved all sports, but football was his Favorite and he was a Chicago Bears Fan to the bone.  Doug also loved to hunt, fish, ride his horses, camp and he loved his ducks!  He also leaves behind his wingman Biskit the dog and Billie the German shepherd.  Summer found him outside enjoying his 3 acres of yard, gardening and relaxing by the duck pond. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, May 10th.  Please donate to the memorial of your choice.  He was much loved and will be missed by everyone that knew him.
