Elizabeth “Betty” Fourtner passed away on Monday, July 23, 2018. Betty was born February 24, 1923 to John Kuntz and Elizabeth Hoffman Kuntz. She grew up near Forsyth, Montana with her 11 brothers and sisters. She went to school at the Howard School and spent a lot of time working in the beet fields. On December 11, 1943 Betty married Charles “Chuck” Fourtner. They spent the early years of their marriage in Avon, Garrison, Deer Lodge and Anaconda, and moved to Barstow, California in 1962 where Betty worked for the Barstow Unified School District as a cafeteria worker for many years. They moved to Paso Robles, California in 1992. Betty was an excellent seamstress, enjoyed crafts and loved traveling to visit her family. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Chuck. She is survived by her son, Chuck (Annie) Fourtner, daughters Sheryl (Gordon) Knight, Vickie (Mike) Lansing and Patty (Manuel) Acosta, 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. A private family celebration will be held at a later date.
