Fred was born August 22, 1934 in Everett Washington to Arleigh and Jeannie Pedersen Eaton. He passed away unexpectedly on August 25, 2015 at St. James Community Hospital in Butte MT. As a young man, he enlisted in the Navy during the Korean War. After serving his country, he returned to Everett. During the years he lived there, he worked at the sawmill, boat factory, Boeing and owned his own business. He married and had two children. When work dried up in the area, he moved to Alaska and found work there. In 1987, while living in Mount Vernon, WA and working for the Port of Skagit County, he met Kitty Wilson. On October 22, 1988 they married. This October they would have shared 27 wonderful years together. Fred was a kind and loving man. He had a soft spot in his heart for his cat Hargas and three Boston Bulldogs. He was preceded in death by his sister May, brother Lawrence and brother-in-law Don Doner. He is survived by: his wife Kitty, brother Arnold, daughters Lori and Janet, sister-in-law Mary Doner, nephews Dan Doner, Matt Doner, Steven Doner, Brian Doner (Talea) and Brett Doner. He is also survived by great-nieces and nephews who adored him and will miss him. Graveside services will be held Saturday, August 29th, 11:00 a.m., at Mountain View Cemetary with a reception to follow at First Presbyterian Church.
