George "Bub" William Eaves Jr. age 69 of Dillon MT, went home to be with God in glory Jan 15 2015. George was born July 27 1945 in Dodge City Kansas to George and Grace Eaves. He excelled in track and field in his high school years. He was a dedicated protector of his family, which led him to serve on the U.S.S. Ticonderoga aircraft carrier as a marine for 3 years during the Vietnam conflict. He worked with a tie gang on the Milwaukee railroad, driving spikes. During family reunions, the nephews would line up to see if this was the year they could beat him at arm wrestling. And year after year, the nephews were defeated. He worked at Barretts Minerals for 35 yrs operating heavy equipment and sorting ore. George was blessed with 3 children during his life and taught them how to love God with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength and to love others as we love ourselves. His greatest joy was to lead others to the Lord Jesus Christ. He displayed God's love through his acts of love and service to his family and the community. "But be doers of the word, and not hearers only." James 1:22 George is preceded in death by his mother and father, sister, and niece. He is survived by his wife, Tari Eaves, sons Brent and Eric Eaves, his daughter Shelly Larson, 3 sisters, 2 brothers, and various nieces and nephews.
