Glen Alvin Owen, 65, A lifelong resident of Dillon, passed away Friday, October 21, 2016. He was born November 27, 1950 in Dillon, Montana. He was the first of five children born to Bennett Alvin Owen and Norah Richardson Elliott. He graduated from Beaverhead county high school. He was an 'A' Student and excelled in academics. He also excelled at any sport he participated in, with numerous trophies and awards to his credit. He had a degree in diesel mechanics. Glen worked with his father and brother, Curt in their trucking business for many years, hauling talc for Barrett's Minerals. He later switched professions. He received a degree in Computer Science and Repair and started a computer repair business. Glen married Ruth Hulet, on July 22, 1988. They raised four children and three of their grandchildren. Glen had a strong love of family. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He is survived by his parents; Bennett (Dyanne) Owen; Norah (Don) Elliott; children Mandy (Shawn) Graham; Jeremiah (Melissa) Owen; Levi (Halie) Owen; 14 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; sisters Georgia Owen; Peggy (Bob) Marquart; Trisha (Wayne) Vialpando; Curt (Natalie) Owen; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter Vanna on February 16, 2012; nephew Ryan Vialpando February 8, 2008. He was a member of the Republican Party and enjoyed a good conversation about politics. He enjoyed watching sports and golfing with friends. Glen had many true friends and touched many people's lives. Internment will be in Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery, Idaho Falls, Idaho.
