Gordon Earl Knorr, born on May 9, 1933, in Breckenridge, Colorado, peacefully passed away on November 16, 2024, in Dillon, Montana.
Gordon dedicated over sixty years of his life to a successful practice as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. He received his doctorate at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. Throughout his career he helped and healed many animals. People affectionally called him "Doc".
He was united in matrimony to Alice Klakken in 1970. They were married for fifty-four years. She had three children Mike age 14, Karol age 11, and Theresa age 10, who all agree he was the best dad ever.
When he did get time off from his busy practice, he loved to fish, bowl, golf, and enjoyed a game of cards. He was also a member of the Elks and Dillon Jaycees.
Gordon is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Alice Knorr, in February of this year. He never recovered from the loss. Surviving members of his family are children; stepson Mike Klakken (Renee); stepdaughter Carol Klakken May; stepdaughter Theresa Torrance; his brother Bill Knorr; his grandchildren Daniel Torrance and Cody Torrance. Other family members are his niece, Holly Barnes, cousins Helen and Karen and others. He also had many friends and will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
