Skip Bybee finished his last tour of the Dillon downtown drinking establishments over the Christmas holiday. As was his quiet unassuming nature, he chose to slip away in the night leaving us to figure out how to fill the gap in our lives he left. Who will support our veterans, donate beadwork and artwork to all types of causes, spoil all the dogs around, drive the Model A at Bannack Days and make sure the women everywhere know they are beautiful?
A native Montanan of Crow heritage, Skip, please don't use his given name, Harry, traveled the US and the world during his 30 plus years in the Army and chose to settle in Dillon where he found a community he could call home. He is survived by the love of his life, his daughter, Leilani, her husband, Ken, and grandson, Jason. In addition he's survived by Brother John, his nieces, Sandy and Brenda, his stepsister, Dian, and close friends, Glenda and Tommy. There will be a Celebration of Life in early summer.
In lieu of flowers donations may be given to American Legion or VFW.Thursday, June 20, 2024
