Helen DeShoza

Helen DeShazo passed away at home June, 29, 2022 at age 86 Helen was born Oct. 28, 1935 in Butte to Clarence and Bess Warne Commons. She graduated from the Whittier Grade School and Butte High School. Helen and Donald H. DeShazo were married Sept. 6, 1953 in Butte. They had three daughters together and resided in Butte until 1966, when they moved to Livingston, later to Red Lodge and to Missoula before settling in Dillon in 1985. Helen was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served as a Librarian at the Family History Library. She was involved in the Rocky Mountain (ARC) Association for retarded citizens in Livingston and Missoula. She served on the Region 5 Developmental Disabilities Council for several years when living in Missoula. She enjoyed bowling, reading and being with her family. She was a member of the Beaver Head Hunters Genealogy Society. Her passion was genealogy, family, friends and love of God. She worked at Parkview Acres Health Center (now Pioneer Care Center) for 15 years as the Activity Director. She served on the Auxiliary at Parkview and had a big heart for the elderly, disabled, and handicapped. She was an exceptional mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend, volunteer and follower of Jesus Christ. We will as miss her smile and wisdom. Helen is survived by her daughter, Deb Baker and her grandsons, Jerry (Angie) Saari, Dracy, Skyla, Kelsy, abd Buddy Lemon. Jason (Mindy) Saari, Cameron (Fernanda), Jaina (Josh), Jaden and Ryan. Cameron (Regina) Haworth, Steven, Zander, Enoch and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death were her son-in-law Roy Baker, parents, sister, Betty Marsh, aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews, too numerous to mention and great-granddaughter Rachel Saari. Services for Helen are at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Dillon, Friday July 8th,2022, viewing from 10AM to 11AM with service at 11AM, followed by increment at Mountain View Cemetery then back to the church for lunch..
