James Lee Christensen 1942-2017 Jim Christensen was born in Dillon, Montana, on June 3, 1942, and passed away on June 11, 2017. He grew up in Grant Montana, going to grade school in Grant and high school in Lima. He worked as a cowboy, a miner, a fencer, and then finally found his career at the Forest Service as range technician. Jim married Sherry Thompson on November 21, 1970. He retired from the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest Dillon District in 2001, and worked as a range manager for The Draggin Y Cattle Company until 2017. Jim was preceded in death by his father Lee, mother Sarah, brother Reid and sister Judy. He is survived by his wife Sherry; sons Brad and Brett (Kathy); granddaughters Hannah (Bre) and Emma; brothers Jack and Keith; sisters Jessie, Jean, and Jaye. Jim was an avid outdoorsman, always looking forward to the spring, and summer, and fall months and the different activities such as fishing, hunting and observing wildlife. His favorite place in the world was Selway Meadows in the spring when the wildflowers were blooming and the elk calves were being born. There will be a private service at the Brundage Funeral Home.
