James Robert McAndrews born July 12, 1937 to Beryl and Walter McAndrews of Anaconda, MT. He passed away peacefully at his home, in Dillon, MT on October 9, 2017. Jim graduated from Anaconda High School and shortly thereafter joined the USMC where he served for four years, met, and married his wife Shirley. Jim and Shirley lived in the Grasshopper Valley for many years. They retired in 1999 as the owners of the Southside RV Park, and spent the next several years as full time RV’ers fishing throughout Alaska, Canada, and the lower 48. Jim is preceded in death by his parents and wife (Shirley). In addition to dear friends and distant family, Jim is survived by his son James M. McAndrews, daughter Mary Lou Patterson, granddaughter Cassandra N. (Martin) Birkbeck, grandson Matthew C. Patterson, and brother Richard W.(Sharon) McAndrews. A celebration of life will be held at a later date upon the return of Jim’s grandson Matthew who is currently serving in the US Navy and on deployment. In lieu of flowers please consider giving a donation in honor of Jim to one of the following organizations; Beaverhead Hospice, or American Red Cross. The family would like to make a special Thank You to Dr. Ron Loge and staff, and Ms. Marie Holt and her staff from Barrett Home Health services for the compassionate care given to Jim during his times of need.
