Jeanne Harrison

Jeanne Harrison of Dillon, Montana, passed away on December 14, 2017 of a sudden illness. She had just celebrated her 96th birthday. Born on December 9, 1921 in Pocatello, Idaho, to Maurice Burwell and Harriett (Stewart) Burwell, her childhood was spent in Pocatello and Montpelier, Idaho, and Kaysville, Utah where she graduated from Davis High School. In 1942, Jeanne came to Dillon where she met Robert J. (Bob) Harrison. They were Married on October 1, 1942, just before Bob went into the Army. After his return from France in 1945, they lived their lives and raised their children in Dillon where they made many friends. A highlight came in 1969 with the building of their “cabin” near Elkhorn Hot Springs that has served as the home base for many get-togethers. Jeanne brought sunshine into many lives. She especially enjoyed spending time with her siblings and their families. Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband, her mother and father, her sister Rose and brothers John, Stewart, Frank and Joseph, stepsister Norma (Nelson) Miller and stepbrother Dean Nelson. She is survived by her children Robert J Jr. (Cynthia), Jennie L (Richard Eberline), James J, and Joseph S (Deana), grandchildren Brian, Jerome, John, Tammy, Shane, Casey, Cory, Kandis, Jeff, and Ashlee, along with 10 great-grandchildren and counting. A viewing will be held at Brundage Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 20, from 5 to 7 PM, followed at 7 by a vigil service and rosary. A funeral mass will be at St. Rose Catholic Church on December 21, at 12: 10 PM followed by graveside interment at Mountainview Cemetery and a luncheon back at St. Rose Family Center.
