Jerry “JAKE” Rowe, 82, passed away suddenly of aggressive cancer on Wednesday, August 24th, 2022, at his home in Dillon, MT, surrounded by his family. He was born August 19th, 1940, in Blackfoot, Idaho, the son of “Ted” & Mable Rowe. Jerry went to school in his early years in Armstead, MT and eventually graduating from Beaverhead County High School. He spent his life working as a heavy equipment operator, teaching at the Job Corp in Anaconda, and doing what he loved to do the most, ranching, fishing, and hunting. Everyone who knew or met Jerry would remember him for his smile and sense of humor. He met and married his lifelong partner, Anna Marcher of Absarokee, MT, in 1960. He is survived by his wife, Anna, his children, Jeri Ann Cox of Dillon, Jeff (Karen) Rowe of Casper, WY, and Kelly (Jamie) Rowe of Dillon. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 9 great- grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his sister Faye (George) Jones of Dillon and brother Delmar (Beverly) Rowe of Dillon. He was preceded in death by his son Mikkal, his father and his mother, as well as his brother and sister-in-law, Vernon (Betty) Rowe of Lima, MT. Graveside services will be held at the Mountain View Cemetery in Dillon on September 2nd, 2022, at 1:00 pm with a reception immediately following at the Elks Club in Dillon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Dillon Elks Club in which Jerry was a 39-year member.
