John Hren

John Hren Jr. Passed away at his home on November 13,2015. John was born on October 8, 1930 at the old Barrett Hospital in Dillon Montana. He attended local schools and lived most of his life on the family farm south of Dillon. He served in the Marines and fought in the Korean War. John married Beverly Peterson in 1952. He worked for the State Highway Department and on the family farm for many years. He began ranching full time after he retired from the Highway department. John enjoyed going in the mountains and checking his cows during the summer and helping feed and calve them in the winter. He was a life time member of the Elks and belonged to the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his father John Hren Sr. and his mother Katie Hren. John is survived by his wife Beverly and his two daughters Cheryl Hren (Jeff Nelson) and Renee (Mike) Klakken. Cremation has taken place and at his request no services are planned.
