Joyce Merrell

Joyce Adeline Merrell , 79 years, passed away Saturday, May 21st, 2022 at Barrett Hospital. Joyce was born December 11th, 1942 to Max Chester and Bonnie Dee (Cheney) Merrell in Dillon, MT. She was raised in Lima and graduated from Lima High school in 1961. She attended Montana State University and graduated in 1965. She was a member of the Lima Community Church. She was a teacher and taught school for several years. She moved to Missoula, MT and worked for the state of Montana until returning home to Lima to help her mother. She returned to Missoula for a few years and then moved into the Renaissance Senior Care in Dillon. She was preceded in death by her dad and mother, brother Don and sister Edith. She is survived by her bother Dee Merrell, Carol Harball, Anita (Baxter) Brown, Lila (Jim) Harper, and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be held at Lima cemetery on Tuesday, May 31st at 11:00 am.
