Leonard Lashlee

Leonard Edward Lashlee 74 passed away on July 17, 2016 surrounded by his loving family after a ferocious battle with lung cancer. Leonard was born on April 15th in Bakersfield California, to Horace Lashlee and Trudee Lee Lashlee. He grew up in southern California. He served in the Army Special Forces Germany, France and Vietnam. He was a personal bodyguard to General William Westmoreland. In 1974 he married the love of his life Betty Jean “BJ”. He was married to her for 38 ½ years before BJ passed away in 2012. They have one son Aaron Michael Lashlee together. In 2013 Leonard fell in love with Linda Drew. Leonard loved his girlfriend with all of his heart and soul. They truly had a great relationship and she as well as her son Shawn Spencer stayed by his side until the moment Leonard went to be with God. Leonard was preceded in death by his mom Trudee Lee Routson father Horace Edward Lashlee, his brother Floyd Routson and his beloved wife Betty Jean Lashlee. Leonard is survived by his son, Aaron Lashlee, future daughter-in-law Ann, his girlfriend Linda Drew, stepson Shawn Spencer and his four grandchildren Inara, Mackenzie, Thomas, and Joseph “SKY”.
