Lily Riley

Lily was born June 9, 1943 to George Tinsley and Mary Beatrice (Shanholtzer) Holt
in Idaho Falls, Idaho. The Holt family lived in Alaska Basin, Centennial Valley,
Montana. Three more children followed; Joe, Mary, and George. Due to George's (dad)
bad, they sold the ranch and moved to a 90 acre farm on the Burnt Fork near Stevensville,
Montana. Lily attended school in Stevensville for 1", 2", and 3" grade,

On February 3, 1951, George Holt passed away. Bea sold the farm and moved to
Dillon, Montana. Lily started 4th grade in the old Bagley School and graduated from
Beaverhead County High School in May 1961.

After high school Lily married Ray E. Riley from Butte, Montana in Mullen, Idaho.
He worked as a miner there. A son, Stephen Allen was born in Wallace, Idaho on April
7, 1962. A daughter, Lisa Rae was born on March 25, 1963 in Butte, Montana.
Lily's mother passed away June 10, 1967 and is at rest in Mountain View Cemetery in
Dillon. Ray and Lily were divorced in 1981.

Stevė and Lisa both attended Dillon schools and graduated from B.C.H.S. Both
attended Western Montana College at different times and worked several jobs that let
them see much of the United States.

Lily was well-known in Dillon as she worked in several cafes in town over the years.
Lily was an out-going person and a 'people' person. She was kind and generous to many.
She enjoyed serving others and having a good time.

Steve and Jean Lemmons were married on June 24, 1995. Steve had a step-son,
Nathan, who married Desna. On January 8, 2013 they had a girl, Annevaeh Marie
(Anna). And Lily became a great-grandmother for the first time. On July 24, 2014 a
great-grandson, Steven Allen Daniel joined the family

Lisa returned to Dillon where she married Brad Creger of Lynchburg, Virginia on
October 16, 1987. They lived at the old family home on Barnett Avenue in Dillon.
A son, Cody Ray Creger was born April 27, 1988 in Butte, Montana. A daughter, Josey
Mae Creger was born March 22, 1997 in Butte, Montana. Lisa and Brad divorced. Lisa
stayed in Dillon at the family home. She worked at various job, but finally found a job
she loved, working at the ski lift at Maverick Mountain in the winter. Lisa passed away
from brain cancer on June 2, 2022.

Cody married Michael Loughlin and they live in Great Falls, Montana. Josey lives in
Kona, Hawaii.

Lily is survived by son Steve, step-grandson Nathan Riley, grand son Cody (Michael),
grand-daughter Josey, sister Mary (Robert) Holt, and brother George (Marie) Holt. Lily
has numerous nephew and nieces.

Lily Riley passed away April 25, 2023 at Barrett Hospital. She will be cremated and
burial will be in the Mountain View Cemetery.
