Lorna Simpson McNee was born July 22, 1939 to parents Harvey and Alice Simpson in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She joined sisters Alberta and Dorothy. Later Carolyn joined the family. They moved to Armstead, Montana at this point set the childhood memories that she held dear to her heart for a lifetime. Every summer they would move to Bloody Dick to cut timber. All of their cousins, aunts and uncles would join them on weekends. She graduated high school in Lima, Montana in 1957. She then attended business school in Idaho Falls. In 1959 she married Dick McNee. They were married in a double ceremony with sister Dorothy. Lorna and Dick worked on the Cross ranch then moved to Oregon and worked on the Alvord Ranch. Then they moved back to Montana and worked for Jimmy Barrett in the Horse Prairie where they started their family with daughter Arlene. They moved to Idaho to help Dicks father on the farm, where they had son Robert. The family moved to Dillon in 1971 where they ranched south of town. Lorna ran the sheep operation, and loved every minute of it. They moved to Ten Mile, Montana where she kept a small band of sheep on 20 acres. She enjoyed her grandchildren Chelsea and Tanner Owen. Services will be held Saturday January 10, 2015 at Brundage Funeral Home at 02:00 PM.
