M. Darleen (Eastep) Link Darleen passed away of natural causes at Barrett Hospital in Dillon on June 16, 2017. She was born in the Robertson Hospital in Livingston on June 22, 1933. Robertson Hospital was located on South C in Livingston right next to her family residence where she resided for many years. She graduated from Lincoln Elementary School. She graduated from Park County High School in the top tenth of her class in 1951 and received the A. L. Brown scholarship award. She and Willa Swan Weidman graduated from Airline Clerical School in Omaha. She was employed by Mountain Bell Telephone in Livingston and Helena as a telephone operator, supervisor and analytical clerk. Many will remember her selling Avon in local homes. She received numerous rewards and was a member of Avon’s President’s Club. She was preceded in death by her parents E. Neal Eastep and Molly Shipton Eastep. Darleen is survived by her husband of 61 years, Larry Link, their daughter, Dr. Laureen Link and son in law Dr. Jeff Cooper of Redding, California, son Garry Link and daughter in law Linda Link of Pacific City, Oregon. Also five grandchildren Brian Cooper, Tara Cooper, Kelly Cooper, Nick Bosworth, and Wyatt Link. She is also survived by her brother, Donald Eastep and sister-in law, Mimi Eastep and their families. Also surviving are many cousins, friends, and various acquaintances. She was a very fair, persevering, and generous person who enjoyed collecting Madame Alexander dolls, having coffee with friends, and the color green. She loved her grandchildren and liked nothing more than having them help her pick carrots, strawberries and sweet peas from her garden. Memorial contributions may be made to the Barrett Hospital Foundation. Brundage Funeral Home is in charge of cremation and services. Her service will be held at the Episcopal church with The Reverend Sue Eades presiding on Friday, June 23 at 11:00. Burial will be in the Mountain View Cemetery in Livingston in the family plot on Saturday, June 24th at 11 AM.
