Mabel Allen - 93 Mabel Peterson Allen (MiMi) passed away Nov. 12, 2014 at the Butte Community Hospital. Mabel was born November 25, 1920 to John & Tina Downing Peterson of Lima, MT. She attended school in Lima and later married Harry N. Allen of Butte. Shortly after, Harry joined the army and Mabel went to work as a waitress for the White Café in Lima. That is when two or three greyhound buses would stop there at the same time. Her memory made her capable of taking orders and not writing any of them down. When Harry was discharged from the army, they remained in Lima where he worked as a fireman for the railroad. They later traveled on construction jobs. He helped build the Clark Canyon dam at Armstead until it was completed. They moved to Butte where he worked for the Anaconda Company. Upon retiring they moved back to Lima where they enjoyed camping and fishing. The love for her nephews and nieces made them her special family. She became affectionately known as 'Mimi' by those who knew her well. Mabel had as many as two or three of her special children with her most of the time, besides often some of their friends. She was a member of the Lutheran Church in Butte, the Lima Community Church and the Eastern Star. Mimi is survived by her sisters, LaVera Kalsher of Butte, Genrose Jolley of Milwaukee, OR, and Darlene Brown of Lima, and numerous loving nephews and nieces. Mabel was preceded in death by her husband Harry Allen, mother Tina, father John, stepfather Bus Peterson, nephew Raymond Jolley, and niece Tawnya Brown. She will be missed by her family and friends. At her request no funeral services are planned. The family will have a remembrance at a later date. Please send contributions to the Lima Community, Church in Lima, MT.
