Norma Cross

Norma Jacqueline (Jackie) Cross passed away after a long battle with cancer on July 23, 2015. She was surrounded by family and friends. She was born to Norman and Trula Mae Miller in De Queen, Arkansas on August 28, 1939. When Jackie was two, her mother passed away and she was adopted by the Maynard family. Jackie met Marion Cross in Cottonwood Falls, Kansas and they married in 1958 and moved to Dell in 1960 and later to Dillon where they would raise their three daughters. She was well loved and respected in the community. After retirement, Marion and Jackie moved north of town where Jackie continued her passion for baking, quilting and craft. She was a member of Dillon Baptist Church for 30 years. Her faith wasn’t something just spoken about, she lived by example. Her life was filled with joy and passion even during times of pain. Her husband, Marion, precedes her in death. She is survived by her three children, Trula Kay Blize of Flourissant, MO, Diane Gleason of Hayden, ID and Darlene Cross of Dillon. Her five grandchildren, Jake Gould, Alexia Blize, Melanie Woodruff, Trevor Blize and Austin Cross and two great-grandchildren, Patrick Blize and Ethan Woodruff. There will be a viewing on July 31 at 12:30 PM and a service at 1 PM at Dillon Baptist Church at 539 Thomsen Avenue. Memorials may be made to Beaverhead County 4-H.
