Paula Davis

June 5, 1954 — October 16, 2018

Paula “Bubbie” Jane Davis, age 64, passed away on Tuesday, October 16th, 2018. She was born on Saturday, June 5th, 1954 in San Jose, California, to Morris and Vora Katzman. Paula grew up in the bay area, California. She spent time in White City,Oregon, before moving back to California at the time she was married to Gary Shuler, the father of her two daughters; Marina Jane and Pamela Rose. Paula became a single mother, raising strong independent daughters, whom she loved more than anything. Paula received her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Development at DeAnza College in Cupertino, California. She truly loved children and had a passion for teaching pre-school and kindergarten. After her divorce, she started working in the heart of Silicon Valley at Zilog, where she stayed for 17 years. She made so many friends through the years! On May 10th, 1997, Paula married Dusty Davis. They became cub 1 and cub 2. Their love of the beach led them to their honeymoon at Pajaro Dunes. Paula loved that the beach was covered in sand dollars and brought tons home. Paula, Dusty and Marina moved to Dillon, Montana on August 1st, 2000, Paula missed Margo Heberling, her best friend (of now) 50 years. Pamela moved up to Montana not too long after. The family was excited to all be reunited! Paula was the most kind-hearted person we’ve ever known. She was there for anyone who needed her. She found joy in children, plants, food (especially Blue Cheese), her pets, a good clean joke…and of course glitter. Anyone who knew Paula, knew her glitter obsession was real. So much so, she became known as the glitter queen! She also had an addiction to schlocky talk shows like Jerry Springer, Maury Povich and her favorite (and secret crush) Steve Wilkos. She even managed to get an autographed picture of Steve! Paula was a best friend to many and a second mom to those who needed her. She loved any reason to decorate and celebrate! Paula also loved America and patriotism. Paula joined her parents, stepfather, and her beloved sister Amy in heaven. We know they’re all watching over us together, probably covered in glitter. She is survived by her loving husband, Dusty, 2 daughters Marina and Pamela, 3 stepchildren Jason, Michelle and Jenny, plus her granddaughter, Aurora and 3 step-grandchildren Robert, Tera and Gentry. She is also preceded in death by her stepson Dustin Jr. Children are welcome glitter is suggested. **God saw I was getting tired. He put His arms around me, He whispered come with me.**
