Pauline Ruth (Sovis) Washik born March 15, 1934 to John M. and Elizabeth A. Sovis in Johnson City, NY. She was the youngest of six siblings. She grew up and graduated in Johnson City.
She met her forever love, Edward David Washik Jr., whom she waited for after he enlisted in the USAF and served in the Korean War. She wrote to Ed every day. When able to get leave, he came home to marry his soul mate. They were happily married for 67 glorious years. Together, they traveled when and wherever Ed was stationed during his 20 years in the USAF. They raised their 3 children, Michael, Patricia and Debra.
They enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping together as a family, especially in Idaho where Ed retired. Pauline enjoyed bowling with the women's league in Mtn. Home for 20 years. She passed away peacefully with her family by her side.
She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jennifer N. Thornton, whom she became a CNA for to help with Jen's special needs, and her loving husband, Edward.
Pauline is survived by her three children, Michael E. Washik (Katy), Patricia A. Thornton-Blake (Kelly), Debbie L. Viallon (Rodney) and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
At Pauline's request, no service will be held.
