Raymond Clark

June 30, 1930 — August 24, 2021

Raymond Leo Clark Raymond Leo Clark left us on Aug. 24, 2021, while doing what he loved – riding his scooter with his Buddy Jessee, (his dog). Ray was born June 20, 1930 in Bairoil, Wyoming, to George Earl Clark and Elsie Leona Clark. He was the youngest of 10, and the last surviving sibling. While living in Dillon, Montana, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served from 1947 to 1949 when he received an honorable discharge. He moved to Riverton, Wyoming, where he met Jo Schroeder, the woman who would become his wife for the next 71 years. Ray worked for Pacific Power and Light as a lineman in Riverton, living there for the next 20 years. He moved to Dillon in 1967 and worked for Montana Power for two decades, retiring in 1987. Ray spent his retirement traveling to watch his grandchildren play sports, camping, riding his scooter and visiting with everyone he met. He was regarded as a #1 fan of the Dillon Beavers. He is survived by his wife Jo; children Janice (Jon) Springer, Diane (Bob) Vezina, Kerry (Leighanne) Clark; eight grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held Sunday, Sept. 5, from 2 to 4 p.m., at 270 Ten Peaks Drive in Dillon. No services are planned. Condolences can be sent to the Clark family, 270 Ten Peaks Drive, Dillon, MT, 59725. Memorials should be made to the Beaverhead Little League or donors choice.
