Robert “Rob” Wayne Bennett, 56 – Dillon, MT Rob passed away to his Heavenly Home on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 in Dillon at the age of 56. He was born November 27, 1959 in Riverside, California to Ann and Bill Bennett. Rob was a quiet man who had a great love for his family and the outdoors. He loved camping most of all, followed by fishing and hunting alongside his dog Trapper. Rob grew up in Melrose and the Dillon area. After high school he spent some time helping the family business in California. His dream was to return to Montana, which he did in 1997. He coached little league for many years and worked as a truck driver for Barrett Minerals for 16 years. Rob is survived by his wife Sara of Dillon, his mother Ann of Melrose, his son, Robbie (Lindsey) and grandson Henry of Helena, stepsons, Michael of Bozeman and Christopher of Houston, his sister, Lori (Jeff) DeBose of Dillon and was known as “Unc” to Ryan, Adam, Morgan and Janaye and their families. Rob was always teasing somebody and loved to play pranks, whether it was showing kid’s his chewed up food at the dinner table or starting a potato gun fight. He loved to see people happy. He was preceded in death by his father Bill Bennett in 2000. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 5th at 11:00 am at the Grace Bible Church, 1049 Laknar Lane, Dillon, MT Contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Beaverhead County or the Dillon United Way as Rob was a strong supporter of both.
