Ruth Wheeler

Ruth “Pat” Wheeler (Redfield) passed away peacefully July 20, 2015 in Dillon, MT due to complications of heart failure. She was 88. Ruth was born January 27, 1927 in Twin Bridges, MT to her parents, Ralph and Clara Redfield. She was the oldest of seven children. Surviving, siblings are: Betty Rampy, Robert Redfield, Shirley Magnus, and Keith Redfield. Soon after graduating high school in Twin Bridges in 1946, she married Floyd E. Wheeler, January 25, 1947. Together they raised five children, Patsy Bryd, Jean Swetish, Floyd (Pinky) Wheeler, Leslie Wheeler, and Joy Arbour. Pat was very devoted to all her nine grandchildren, who gave her 23 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Wheeler; parents, Ralph and Clara Redfield, her sister, Phyllis Nettik; brother, Ralph Jr. (Bud) Redfield, sister-in-law, Patricia Redfield; son Pinky Wheeler, and her grandson, Robert (Bobby) Wheeler, along with son-in-law, Ron Byrd. Family viewing will be held in Dillon, Thursday, July 23rd from 5-8 pm at the Brundage Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place Friday, July 24th at 2 pm. followed by a burial ceremony at the Point of Rocks. Afterwards, family and friends are welcomed and encouraged to attend and celebrate Pat. Wheeler’s life at the Malesich ranch hosted by Carol.
