Sara Ann Binam

May 13, 1942 — September 19, 2024

Dillon

Sara (Henrie) Binam, of Dillon MT, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on September 19 th , 2024, at the age of 82. Sara was born in Jackson, Wyoming on May 13 th , 1942, to Clarence and Alice (Hanks) Henrie. She was the youngest of five children. She and her family eventually made their way to Dillon, first living in Jackson Montana for a short time. Sara attended and graduated from Beaverhead County Highschool. After graduation Sara moved to Salinas, California where she met her husband Dess Binam. She and Dess moved to Green Forest Arkansas and after Dess's passing she made her way back to Dillon. Along the way she made countless friends everywhere she lived. She lived a life filled with many friends and family.

At a young age Sara gained one of her most treasured titles, Mom, when she had her son Terry. Terry blessed her with three grandchildren, with whom she adored. Sara was especially fond of her four great grandchildren, Oliver, Boyd, Blaire and Brody. It was hard to find a recent picture of her that did not include at least one great grandchild, if not all four, in the picture. Many people knew Sara from her career as a pharmacy tech, first working at Peterson Drug and later working and retiring from Safeway Pharmacy. Sara is survived by her son Terry and daughter in law Kathy Ross, her grandchildren Kyle(Brieanna), Sheldon(Courtney) and Rhiannon(Chad), great grandchildren, Oliver, Boyd, Blaire and Brody, sister Betty Johnson and several nieces and nephews.

Sara is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Alice, husband Dess, her brother Warren, her sisters Lyla Trafelet and Laverne Jackson, brothers in law Dick Johnson, Albert Trafelet and Martin Jackson, niece Karen Johnson and nephew Ray Trafelet.
