Steven Charles MacArthur was born on September 21, 1950 in Long Beach, CA, to Dorothy Donah and Charles "Chuck" MacArthur. Steve was the oldest of 4 children and is survived by his younger brothers, John MacArthur of Hemet, CA and Michael MacArthur of Bishop, CA, and a sister, Cindy Dunaway of Big Pine, CA and a nephew and multiple nieces as well. Steve grew up in the Los Angeles county area and married and raised a family in Riverside County, CA until his divorce in 1991. Steve then made his way to Montana, working as a trail guide, cook, in construction and truck driving; putting down roots in Lima until his passing on Aug. 18, 2024.

He loved hunting, fishing, being outdoors, reading God's Word and learning and applying Biblical truths as he studied the Bible and other historical books. He was known for his kindness, generosity and willingness to lend a hand. He was a great friend and well-loved by those who knew him.

Steve traveled to Israel a few times and thoroughly loved the experience. He was so excited to be able to take one of those trips with his daughter, Crystal in Oct. 2022. They met so many great people who became close friends with them.

Steve leaves behind 2 daughter's, Crystal Calloway who is predeceased by her husband Michael July 25, 2024 of Stevensville, MT, and her children, Mason Calloway and Karlie Moore, and Karlie's precious daughter, Winnie-Steve's 1st great grandchild born July 2024.

He also leaves behind his younger daughter Rachel and her husband, Allen Vela of Murrieta, CA and their children Canyon, Levi, Joab, Abram and Gideon Vela.

A celebration of life will be held at the firehouse in Lima on September 21, 2024 at 11am. Refreshments will be served.
