William Franklin (Bill) Reynolds Sr. passed away on July 27, 2017; he was 76. Born October 8, 1940, in Butte Montana, he was the seventh born in a family of 15 brothers and sisters to Wallace and Wilberetta Reynolds. Bill was raised in Melrose, MT and graduated from Beaverhead County High School in Dillon in 1958. Following graduation, Bill enlisted in the Navy, serving two years in Vietnam and 10 years total active duty. Bill went on to work for the Naval Civil Service in Long Beach, California for the next twenty-three years. Bill accumulated a total of thirty-three years of service before retiring in 1994 as Project Superintendent at Long Beach Naval Shipyard. Bill met and married his love, Rose Romero, on July 21, 1962, which they had four children, Mary Rose, William (Bill) Jr., Denise Michele, and Robert Alan. Unfortunately, Bill and Rose later divorced in 1990. Bill always said he was going to move back to Montana one day. Upon his retirement, Bill returned to Montana in 1994 and resided in Dillon until his death. Bill was an avid hunter, fisherman, golfer, and friend. He loved being outdoors with friends and family. He enjoyed going for rides in the mountains in his truck, razor, or 4-wheeler. Bill loved playing cards downtown and cribbage games with family. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Geraldine and Linda, brother Duane, and both daughters, Mary Rose and Denise Michele. Bill is survived by his two sons and their wives, Bill Jr. (Tracy) of Cascade, Robert (Michelle) of Dillon. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Bill Reynolds 3rd, Scottie Durnell, Kaitlynn and Kara Reynolds; and great-grandchildren Rory Aldon Reynolds, and soon to be Oriskan James Curlee; siblings include Tom (Shirley) Reynolds, Donna Umland, Mae (Bert) Robinson, Diane (Curly) Martin, Jim (Barbara) Reynolds, Joyce Larson, Larry (Cheri) Reynolds, Terry Reynolds, Patsy (Ron) Elings, Lyle (Bernadette) Reynolds, and Kristie (Joe) Piazzola and numerous nieces and nephews.
