William Smart

William Smart Obituary William Dean Smart, 68, passed away in Dillon, MT on July 13, 2014.   William was born to Hannah Stocking Smart and Frederick Floyd Smart on August 20, 1945 in Soda Springs, Idaho.  He was the youngest of four boys, attended high school in Butte, MT and later received a Masters degree in Education.  He taught in several locations, eventually retiring after 35 years of teaching in Ely, Nevada. William married Janice Harkness Smart on November 30, 1968.  They had four children.  He is survived by his children Shayne (Kelly) Smart, Kaitlyn, Dusty, Garrett, and Ayden; Michael (Katie) Smart, Morgan, Rae, and Tillman; Taffy (Tim) Jacob, Henry, Ty, Reece, Piper; and Kerry (Kolton) Andrus, Mikhali, Porter, Isabella, Abigail, Zander. His brothers Don (Peg) Smart, Ralph (Susan) Smart, Angus (Bernice) Smart, and many cousins, nieces, nephews. William was preceded in death by his parents, sister, and wife, Janice. Viewing will be held from noon to 2 pm on Thursday July 17th  at the Lima Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with services to follow.  Interment will be held at the Lima Cemetery.
